Fiesta is modeled after many of the flower festivals in Europe. People ride on flower-covered floats in the parade and shower the audience with flower petals. This colorful event celebrates the culture of San Antonio.

 

In addition to the parade, there are numerous events. Athletes can show off their skills in the 10K race or the soccer tournament. There is live music every night and plenty of carnival rides to enjoy.

 

This festival not only celebrates to community, it benefits the community. Non-profit organizations plan and host the event. They use the donations they receive from the event to create and run the public programs that benefit the city.
